I tend to agree with this article.  I'd say, during my 4.5 year college career, I listened to this soundtrack 45,622 times.  Only a slight exaggeration.  On a serious note, the melodies are often haunting and beautiful, a direct descendant of the original Chrono Trigger soundtrack.  I've had a legitimate physical copy of the Chrono Cross  soundtrack for years now, and it's probably my most treasured video game soundtrack.  Read the article, and give the sample song a listen.  If you would like to hear more, it's still available to buy here.
